Privacy Policy

Short version: the Lunchbox app collects nothing. When you buy, we keep only what's needed to sell you a license, deliver it, and meet tax law.

The app

Lunchbox works entirely on your Mac. It needs macOS's Accessibility permission to arrange windows, and uses it only for that. It doesn't collect or send analytics, crash reports, window titles, keystrokes, or anything about how you use it. It checks your license on your Mac. Once you've entered a license, about once a week Lunchbox downloads our public list of refunded licenses to make sure yours isn't on it. That request sends nothing about you, your Mac or your license; like any web request, our host sees your IP address. Once a day it also checks our website for a new version of Lunchbox (you can turn this off, and it asks before installing anything); that check sends only Lunchbox's and macOS's version numbers. Otherwise Lunchbox only goes online when you ask it to, for example opening a web search or this website in your browser.

When you buy

• Payment: Stripe processes your payment and receives your card details, name, email and billing address. We never see your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
• Tax: Stripe Tax uses your billing country and postal code to work out sales tax or VAT. We keep these records as tax law requires (up to 10 years for some countries).
• Your license: your email address and order number are written into your license key, so Lunchbox can show who it's licensed to.
• Email: we email your license, and nothing else unless you write to us. No newsletter, no marketing. Emails are sent through Resend (privacy policy).

This website

The site has no analytics, ads, or tracking cookies. Cloudflare hosts it and, like any web host, briefly processes technical data such as IP addresses to serve pages and stop abuse (Cloudflare's policy).

Why we use your data (EU/UK)

To perform our contract with you (delivering your license and support) and to meet legal obligations (tax records). We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We'll do it, except for records we must keep by law. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, including to complain to your data protection authority. Lunchbox isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
